At the beginner level (A1 level), knowing how to ask open-ended questions is one of the first things to learn. An open question is a question with an interrogative pronoun: quand (when), où (where), que (what), quoi (what), qui (who), comment (how), pourquoi(why) ou combien (how many or how much). Ask open-ended questions with quand (when)

An answer to a question “Pourquoi ?” (= Why?) must include “parce que” (=because).

C'est 5 euros.

Combien de langues parles-tu ?Je parle 2 langues : français et anglais.
