At the beginner level (level A1), it is necessary to know how to make purchases at the market. There is very often a subject “Au marché” (At the market) in the third part of the DELF A1 speaking test. The video below will teach you how to shop at the market in French. The seller: Bonjour, monsieur. Je peux vous aider ?
The customer: Oui, je voudrais acheter des fruits et des légumes. Combien coûte le kilo de bananes, s’il vous plaît ?
The seller: Le kilo de bananes coûte 2 euros.
The customer: Très bien. Je vais prendre un kilo de bananes, s’il vous plaît.
The seller: Un kilo de bananes, voilà. Vous voulez autre chose ?
The customer: Oui, je voudrais deux kilos d’oranges. Ça coûte combien ?
The seller: Deux kilos d’oranges, ça fait 5 euros. Avec ceci ?
The customer: Je voudrais une salade et deux kilos de carottes, s’il vous plaît. Combien ça coûte ?
The seller: La salade, c’est 1 euro et deux kilos de carottes, c’est 3 euros. Vous voulez autre chose ?
The customer: Non, merci. Ça fait combien en tout ?
The seller: En tout, ça fait 11 euros s’il vous plaît.
